Discover Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a paradise for sailors and nature-lovers! The country is made up of Saint Vincent (the main island) and a chain of 32 smaller islands and cays called the Grenadines, stretching south toward Grenada. The Grenadines include famous gems like Mustique (a private island favoured by royalty and celebrities), Bequia, Canouan, and the Tobago Cays - a stunning marine park with crystal-clear lagoons, sea turtles, and spectacular snorkelling.
Saint Vincent itself is rugged and volcanic - the active La Soufrière volcano last erupted in 2021, dramatically reshaping the island. The lush interior has rainforests, rivers, and spectacular waterfalls. The Vermont Nature Trail offers walks through the cloud forest to spot the Saint Vincent parrot (the national bird, found only here). The island's black sand beaches are a reminder of its volcanic origins. The Grenadines are the stuff of sailing dreams - turquoise water, coral reefs, and picture-perfect anchorages. The Pirates of the Caribbean films were partly shot here because the scenery is so perfect! Vincentians are warm and proud of their volcanic, island-hopping nation.
